Barbara E. Ptaszek

Barbara E. Ptaszek, 84, of Carlisle, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born November 17, 1928 in Riverside, CA, she was a daughter of the late Edward Roy and Grace Evelena Grip English and the widow of Frank S. Ptaszek.
She was a graduate of Messiah Bible College receiving an Associate Degree in June of 1948. Barbara was employed as inventory manager for the Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg. She volunteered at Chapel Point of Carlisle after entering in 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Ptaszek (and wife, Helen) of Mechanicsburg and Robert Ptaszek of Carlisle; one grandson, Mitchell Ptaszek of Boiling Springs; and one sister, Dorothy Guengerich of Upland, CA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald English.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Henry Chapel of Chapel Pointe of Carlisle, 770 South Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Walter L. Frankenberry officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
