August C. (Augie) Dietz, Jr.

September 23, 1941 — January 26, 2014

August C. "Augie" Dietz, Jr., 72, of Carlisle died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born September 23, 1941 in Johnstown, he was a son of the late August C. Sr., and Mary Lula Wagner Dietz.
He was a graduate of Northern High School, Dillsburg. He was a former supervisor at C. H. Masland and Sons, Carlisle. Augie retired from Carolina Freight. He was a member of the VFW Post #477, the Eagles Aerie #1299; the White Circle Club, and the AMVETS all of Carlisle. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his loving family.
Surviving are his wife of forty years, Linda A. Dietz of Carlisle; one son Lenny A. Dietz (and wife, Katherine) and their children Jessica and Corey; one daughter Michele L. Graff and her sons, Quinton, Preston, and Dalton; three brothers, Harold Dietz of Ohio, Jim Dietz of Lewisberry, and Bill Dietz of Dover; one sister, Mary Lou Dietz of Dillsburg; and four great-grandchildren, Araina, Quinten, Preston Jr. and Dalton II.
Family will be receiving relative and friends for a visitation from 3:00 -5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle.
