Arthur "Art" H. Lockwood

Arthur Lockwood, of Carlisle, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the age of 74. Born March 8, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Harold and Florence (Fink) Lockwood. He was the loving husband of Nancy D. Lockwood, with whom he celebrated more than 46 years of marriage.

Art was an avid sprint car racing fan and attended races in Williams Grove and Selinsgrove, PA. He also enjoyed slow-pitch recreational softball in the 1970’s and 80’s. He was a glass processor for PPG Industries for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2006, and he was known to value his longstanding friendships with former colleagues.

Surviving with his wife are a son Eric Lockwood and a daughter Abby Sova, both of Carlisle. His sister, Lorraine Nalley (husband Milton) of Ramey, PA also survives him.

The family will receive friends during a visitation at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 16. The family is looking forward to your attendance, as there are many memories of Art to be shared. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Art’s memory to North Middleton Fire Department, 2061 Spring Road, Carlisle, PA 17013. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
