Arthur Leslie "Art" Stilson

Arthur Leslie “Art” Stilson, 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018.
He was born September 27, 1931 in Troy, NY to the late Morris L. and Martha (Hillebrandt) Stilson.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 58 years, Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Bassett of Carlisle; one son, Douglas Charles (wife Jayne) Stilson of Carmel, IN; one daughter, Joanne L. (husband David) Fortney of Mechanicsburg; one sister, Martha (husband Robert) Walrath of McAlester, OK; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Arthur Stilson and two brothers, Morris and Edward Stilson.
Art chose to donate his body to science to help further medical research efforts. He was a charter member of the Unitarian Universalists of the Cumberland Valley where a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Art to CALC, 38 W Pomfret St, Carlisle, PA 17013 or Bosler Memorial Library, 158 W High St, Carlisle, PA 17013.
