Anthony James DeAngelo, age 47, of Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 21, 2017.
He was born February 14, 1970 in Carlisle to Carl J. DeAngelo of Carlisle and the late Sally (Macdonald) DeAngelo.
Tony was a 1988 graduate of Carlisle High School where he was a state qualifier in wrestling and received a BS in Education from East Stroudsburg University in 1994 where he was a member of the wrestling team. He was a Physical Education teacher for 20 years at KidsPeace in Allentown. He most recently worked at Amazon where he was an Outbound Shipping Associate. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, golf, sports and going to heavy metal concerts.
In addition to his father, Tony is survived by: two brothers, Cory and Tim DeAngelo; a sister, Joy Bowman; his children, Jacob and Madyson DeAngelo and their mother, Heather Heslin; and his grandmother, Veryl Macdonald. In addition to his mother, Tony was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James J. Macdonald and his paternal grandparents, Paul and Josephine DeAngelo.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
