Annabelle M. Rissinger

Annabelle M. Rissinger, 89, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the Sarah Todd Memorial Home.
She was born on March 11, 1926 in Sacramento, PA to the late William R. and Elsie M. Shadle Stiely and was the widow of the late Donald E. Rissinger who passed in 1990.
Annabelle graduated from Hegins Township High School in 1944. She worked as a cashier at the A&P, Handy Markets and Mini-Mart before retiring. She considered her best job, however, to be caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren after retiring. She served on the AARP Council of Senior Citizens and was a member of First United Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan R. Henry and Kay. D. Albert, both of Carlisle; a son, James L. (and wife Jessica) Rissinger of Spring Grove; a brother, Bruce L. Stiely of Hedgesville, WV; five grandchildren, Jason Albert, Gretchen Spangler, Morgan Wark and Matt Henry, all of Carlisle and Jennifer Rissinger of Spring Grove; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Luther Stiely.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at First United Church of Christ, 30 N. Pitt Street, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Rachel Schwab officiating. Please join us in the church social hall for visitation after the service.
