Anna “Jean” Harbach, 95, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Claremont Nursing and Rehab Center with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Carlisle on July 17, 1922 to the late Clarence and Blanche Behrens and was the widow of Paul H. Harbach, Jr.
Jean had retired from Montgomery Wards in Carlisle after working there for more than 15 years. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church which has unified and become Carlisle United Methodist Church. Jean enjoyed reading her Bible and attending Bible Study, but family meant the most to her.
She is survived by two daughters; Beth Ann (husband R. Scott) Eppley of Carlisle, Jody L. Smith of Carlisle; one son, Douglas P. (wife Sue) Harbach of Chambersburg; six grandchildren, Robert Eppley, Tara Eppley, Conor Eppley, Christopher Warrick, Natalee Harbach, and Griffin Harbach, and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Westminster Cemetery, 1159 Newville Rd., Carlisle, PA with Rev. Wayne Gosnell officiating. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Meals on Wheels, 42 Bellaire Ave., Carlisle, PA 17013.
Arrangements are being handled by Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA.
