Ann "Nance" E. Murray, 84 of Carlisle, PA and formerly of Cumberland, MD, died Saturday May 18, 2013 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born May 31, 1928 in Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalie Creegan McMahon.
Mrs. Murray was a 1946 graduate of the Girls Central Catholic High School in Cumberland, MD. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Nance was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, J. Robert Murray Jr., five children; Rob Murray (Cindy), Mechanicsburg, Mike Murray (Wendy), Boiling Springs, Lee Ann Murray, Boiling Springs, Andy Murray (Lee Ann), Dillsburg and Amy Swank (Ty), Boiling Springs, nine grandchildren; Joe Murray (Fallon), Jill Kalbach (Dan), Tom Murray (Shawn), Jim Murray, Luke, Maggie and John Swank, Jack and Kate Murray. Nance is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Irene McMahon and Rosie McMahon and a brother-in-law, Charlie Felten. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Phil, Ed and Jim McMahon, a sister, Edna Felten and a special cousin, Pat Creegan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Thursday May 23, 2013 in the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Dr., Carlisle PA with the Rev. Dwight D. Schlaline as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 6:00 – 9:00 pm Wednesday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret St. Carlisle, PA 17013.
