Anita Mae Hoaglund

Anita Mae Hoaglund, 95, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.

Born on July 16, 1923 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Ruth R. (Pomeroy) Scott.

Anita was a member of the First United Church of Christ. She developed and started the Instructional Materials Center for the Carlisle School District. She volunteered at the grade school libraries and was a Cub Scout leader. Anita was a loving caregiver to her mother and husband for many years. She loved to dance and was an avid reader and animal lover.
Anita is survived by her son, Scott L. Hoaglund and his wife Donna of Boiling Springs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Hoaglund and a brother, William “Bill” Scott.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at First United Church of Christ, 30 N. Pitt Street, Carlisle with Rev. Chris Schwab officiating. Burial will follow at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
