Alvin E. "Al" Killinger, Jr.

Alvin E. "Al" Killinger, Jr., age 73, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday evening, February 5, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on March 28, 1942 in Carlisle to the late Alvin E. and Grace B. Fulton Killinger, Sr.
Alvin retired from C.H. Masland & Sons after 40 years of service as a machinist. Al belonged to several car clubs, including the Drifters, Toys of Time Cruisers and the Cumberland and Perry County Car Clubs. He enjoyed collecting and working on all kinds of cars and trucks and enjoyed going to the local race tracks.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Etta M. Divens Killinger of Carlisle; a brother, Wayne A. Killinger of Somerset; five sisters, Janet L. (and husband David) Garner of Newville, Phyllis M. (and husband Timothy) Rubendall of Carlisle, Paulette M. Barclay of Shermans Dale, Nancy C. Shields of Carlisle and Brenda S. (and husband Rodney) Failor of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Brozack and Darlene K. Kidd.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Glenn Yohn officiating. Interment will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, February 10, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
