Alistair Duncan Falconer, age 79, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.
He was born January 26, 1937 in New York, NY to the late George and Jean (Mitchel) Falconer.
Alistair met the love of his life at the age of 8 years old and later married her in 1957. After college, Alistair worked for Greenwood Mills in New York City. He then opened his own printing company, Falcon Litho. From there, he went on to become the Eastern Advertising Manager for the Christian Science Monitor. He spent the next 30+ years running two large care facilities, High House, Inc. in New York and Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association in Boston, MA. He worked in the mergers and acquisitions field in New Jersey. Alistair also served his country as a 2nd LT in the National Guard and Army Reserves.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, Barbara Elizabeth (Stuart) Falconer, of Carlisle, he is survived by two children, Keith (and wife Lori) Falconer of Mechanicsburg and Alison (and husband John) Alioto of Norwood, MA; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jennifer and Robert Falconer of Mechanicsburg, Ainsley Brockmeyer of Boston, MA and Alistair (and wife Hannah Wagner) Brockmeyer of Lookout Point, NY; and a great-grandson, Chase Duncan Brockmeyer. In addition to his parents, Alistair was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ian Falconer.
A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey W. Gibelius officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association, 910 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.
