Alice Theresa Hurley

Alice Theresa Hurley, 82, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at her residence.

Born on September 21, 1936 in Harrisburg PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard D. and Mary P. (Buck) Soule.

Alice was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. She retired from the Book of the Month Club with 27 years of service. She enjoyed painting, playing the piano, taking care of her cats and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alice is survived by her son, John Hurley of Newville; grandsons, Jesse and Jason Hurley; brother, John Soule (Deanie) of Middletown; sister, Rita Berkebile (James) of Carlisle; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hurley.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle with Father Antony Raja as celebrant. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 116 S Oak Grove Rd, West Hanover Township, PA 17112.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s name to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Residential Hospice at www.residentialhealthcaregroup.com/services/hospice/give-back/.
