Alice E. Anderson, age 93, of Carlisle, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg.
She was born on November 29, 1922 in Carlisle to the late Oliver and Elizabeth Glazer McClintock and was the widower of Nedwell Anderson, Jr. who passed on August 21, 2012. They had been married for 63 years.
Alice was a homemaker who loved to clean, cook and care for her family and pets. She was a fanatic about her flower and vegetable gardens and had a garden up until this past year. Her family and friends meant the most to her.
She is survived by four sons, David E. (and wife Debra) Anderson of Carlisle, Steven W. Anderson and companion Debbie Montine of Enola, Gary L. (and wife Anne Marie) Anderson of Harrisburg and Nedwell A. Anderson III of Carlisle; three daughters, Judy A. (and husband James) Oyler, Sue E. (and husband Douglas) Moyer and Bonnie L. Kepner, all of Carlisle; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by five brothers, David, Charles, Elmer, James and Franklin McClintock; and five sisters, Betty, Tina, Edna, Mary and Grace.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle with Rev. Jan E. Custer officiating. Interment will be at Westminster Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of the services.
