Alan B. Shilvock

Alan B. Shilvock, 75, of Carlisle, died Monday, November 12, 2012 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born March 9, 1937 in Batavia, NY, he was a son of the late Joshua and Evelyn Houston Shilvock.
He retired as Marketing Manager for Keen Transport, Carlisle. He enjoyed spending time at his home in Old Forge, NY. Alan loved playing golf, nature, snowmobiling, and he had a great sense of humor. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Joy Shilvock of Carlisle; step-son, Daniel Higgins (and wife, Dena) of Carlisle; son, Gregory Shilvock (and wife, Rafaline) of Darien, NY; two daughters, Sue Ann Spiotta (and husband, Frank) and Karen Cummings both of Alexander, NY; eleven grandchildren: Erin, Nicole, Courtney, Nathan, Abigail, Lydia, Zachary, Joshua, Madison, Lacey, and Paige.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, On the Square, Carlisle, with The Rev. Canon Mark A. Scheneman officiating. A private family burial will follow the service. A viewing will be held from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle.
