Ada M. Righi Santoff, 97, formerly of Spring Hill, FL, died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Ada was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Joseph and Augusta Farroni Righi, and was the widow of George R. Santoff, Sr. who died February 10, 2015 after 73 years of marriage.
Ada was a dedicated housewife raising her family. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her famous one liners and was “the greatest mother you could have!” Ada had a great love for dogs, and always had at least one or two at home. She was a devoted catholic and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. Ada was also a graduate of John Hays High School, Class of 1939 in Cleveland, OH.
She is survived by: two sons, George R. (wife Kay) Santoff Jr., of Carlisle, and Gerald Santoff of Arcade, NY; one daughter, Cheryl (husband Robert) Myers of Camp Hill; five grandchildren, Matthew Santoff of Auburn, PA, Dr. Robert (wife Christine) Myers of Camp Hill, Jeffrey Santoff of AR, Sheri (husband Scott) Virga of Chaffee, NY, and Robbie (wife Dana) Santoff of Sandusky, NY; nine great-grandchildren, Brittney, Jacob, Jadon, Tyler, Carey, Amanda, Jared, Josh and Elise. She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Sue Santoff.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 87 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA with Rev. William C. Forrey as celebrant. Interment will be private at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA.
