Victor L. Rogusky, Jr.

Victor L. Rogusky, Jr. 72, of Carlisle died on Wednesday, July 16, 2019 at Carlisle Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Harrisburg, PA and attended Seven Sorrows BVM School in Middletown, PA. After graduation from Bishop McDevitt HS in 1965 he joined the US Navy. He served as a Machinist Mate aboard destroyers from 1967-1978 attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He retired in 2002 from the Mechanicsburg Navy Supply Depot where he worked as a general supply specialist for nuclear powered submarines. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and sang for 20 years in the choir. His volunteer work included Project Share, Meals on Wheels, and Carlisle CARES. He enjoyed golf, tennis, baseball, coin collecting, science fiction, and working with his hands. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially being Pap-pap to his grandson, Clayton.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Margaret Makeever Rogusky; two sons, Daniel E. of Lancaster, PA and Michael P. (and Kimberly) of Lemoyne, PA; a brother Allen (and Susan) of Vero Beach, FL; a sister, Bernice Bossler of Palmyra, PA; a grandson, Clayton M. Rogusky; 7 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor L. Rogusky, Sr. and Regina (Jean) of Middletown, PA, and an infant son, Todd Alan Rogusky.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Patrick Church, 87 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA with Father Tibertius A. Raja as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will be private.
