Rita F. Corkle

Rita F. “Rete” Corkle, 83, of Carlisle and formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Church of God Home.
She was born May 2, 1936 in Philipsburg, PA to the late Harman E. and Alice (Nixon) Fleck.
Rita was a graduate of Swatara Township High School. After graduation she enrolled in the nursing program at Polyclinic Hospital. Rete enjoyed working for more than thirty years at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home as a registered nurse. After her retirement, Rita resided in Carefree, AZ for many years. She loved gardening and animals, especially her pets.
Rita is survived by one son, Dan L. (wife Jolene) Corkle of LaMesa, CA; one sister, Carol F. Wesley of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Brooks and Hudson Corkle; one niece, Kara W. (husband Mark) Horm of Mechanicsburg; and one nephew, who referred to her as Woody, Tim R. (wife Maria) Wesley of Cranberry Township. She was also loved by her four great-nieces and her great-nephew.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17111.
