James R. "Jim" Merlino

James R. “Jim” Merlino, 74, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at UPMC West Shore.

He was born January 25, 1948, in Pittsburgh to the late Jack and Helen (Frankowski) Merlino.

Jim honorable service to his country in the US Air Force included a tour of duty in Vietnam. Jim retired as a facilities manager for the state after many years of employment.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kim V. Merlino of Carlisle; two sons, Kevin J. (wife Melissa) Merlino of Duncannon and Michael R. (wife René) Merlino of Blandburg; six grandchildren; and one sister, Deborah (husband Robert) Murphy of Monroeville.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
